Weddings
I am offering a range of options: Solo violin, violin and guitar duo, two violins or a quartet so you can decide what's right for you. My solo prices are listed but I will work with you to create a package deal if you would like a combination of the options below.
Solo Violin
Why book me for your special day? I have over 20 years of experience playing for weddings. Read my About Me page for more info if you haven't done so already. With experience comes high quality music. Many brides and grooms are nervous about their big day so it's understandable if you have a lot of questions. Check out my FAQ section as you might find the answers in there. Click here to hear samples of my music. My calendar shows what days I have events booked. It is best to contact me to check if I'm available for an event. Check out the below review from Encore.

Lindum Strings
What is Lindum Strings? Not many people know this, but Lindum is the Latin word for Lincoln. So Lindum Strings is a Lincolnshire based duo and quartet with many years of performance experience between us. However we do travel to events throughout the country. We are all classically trained musicians and play to a high standard.
Duo
As a duo I play with Crauford Thomson. We mainly play as two violins but Crauford also plays guitar so he may occassionally switch instruments during performances depending on the event. We can play for any part of the wedding day including the reception. We also perform for other events such as garden parties and corporate events.

Our Story
We are Serenade (Serena and Adam), a talented modern violin and guitar duo with a widely diverse repertoire - ranging from bang up to date chart pop to traditional folk tunes.
We are both full time professional musicians and have years of performing experience between us, including hundreds of weddings, parties and corporate events around the country.
As a duo, we create a rich acoustic sound while incorporate live looping of our instruments. This creates a multi layered sound more akin to a quartet or band.
We pride ourselves on being a fresh, dynamic alternative to the string quartet, creating our own unique arrangements, combining professional service with a personal touch.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do you take song requests?
I prefer to work from the list I have, but I usually have a limit of learning 1 or 2 special request songs per wedding. Sometimes I might not be able to get the right backing track, it might not be in a good key for violin or it's especially difficult to learn in the limited time I have, so I may not be able to accommodate all requests, but I do try to the best of my ability. I can play more than 2 request songs that are not on my list for an additional fee.
2. Can I hear examples of you playing particular songs?
I do have an album available for purchase with my more popular busking songs. I also play at various events so if you contact me I can let you know when I'm performing at an event near you.
3. What if the date changes due to extenuating circumstances?
I do work from contracts but can be accommodating depending on the circumstance. For example, I have had to reschedule a couple of weddings from 2020 to this year (2022) because of Covid19.
4. How precisely do you stick to timings?
I always make enough room for half hour set up time before performance, or more if I know parking will be difficult. I am flexible with times as I have done a lot of weddings and I know they overrun quite often.
5. Do you do traditional wedding music?
It is very rare that people will ask for it, but I do play the traditional pieces such as Wagner's Bridal March and Mendelssohn's Wedding March. If you are having a civil ceremony then I will not be allowed to play anything religious and usually it's up to the registrar. Lindum Strings uses sheet music for performances so we have the music for that.
6. Can I remove anything I don't like from your set list?
Of course we don't want to cause any upset. If you see something on one of our sample set lists and prefer not to hear it, just let us know.
7. Is your equipment PAT tested?
Some of our equipment is less than a year old so may not need it. Some equipment is PAT tested but not all. We may be able to perform without plugging anything in depending on the length of the performance which would avoid the requirement for PAT testing, however we would prefer to plug in where possible to avoid running out of battery. In some instances we may need clarification from the venue on what they require.
8. Do you have public liability insurance?
Of course, I personally have cover up to £5 million and can provide proof upon request.
